Martinů Trio: Martinů Trio - CD

Trio Martinů was formed at the Prague Conservatory in 1990. Right from the beginning of its existence, when the lead member of the world-famous Smetana Quartet, Antonín Kohout, significantly contributed to the ensemble's artistic growth, the trio achieved a number of successes and won important awards.

These successes include participation in the international competition in the Italian city of Trapani, third prize at the international chamber ensemble competition in Heerlen, Holland in 1992, and especially first place in the same competition three years later (1995).
