Mary Poppins Returns (Blu-ray)

The film takes place around 1930, during the Great Depression in London (the period in which the original books are set), and is based on a further seven books by P. L. Travers.

The children from the original film, Michael and Jane, are now adults. Michael lives on Cherry Tree Lane with his three children and their housekeeper, Ellen (Julie Walters).
After Michael suffers a personal loss, the mysterious nanny Mary Poppins (Emily Blunt) reappears in the Banks family's life. With the help of the cheerful lamplighter Jack (Lin-Manuel Miranda) and her unique magical abilities, she helps the family rediscover lost joy and happiness.
Mary Poppins also introduces the children to a whole host of colourful and eccentric characters, including her quirky cousin Topsy (Meryl Streep).
