Mary Poppins Returns - DVD

The film is set in London around 1930 during the Great Depression (the same period as the original books) and is based on the seven subsequent books by P. L. Travers.

The children from the original film, Michael and Jane, are now all grown up. Michael lives on Cherry Tree Lane with his three children and their housekeeper, Ellen (Julie Walters).
After Michael suffers a personal loss, the mysterious nanny Mary Poppins (Emily Blunt) reappears in the Banks family's life. With the help of the cheerful lamplighter Jack (Lin-Manuel Miranda) and her unique magical abilities, she helps the family rediscover their lost joy and happiness.
Mary Poppins also introduces the children to a host of colourful and eccentric characters, including her quirky cousin Topsy (Meryl Streep).
