“Youthanasia“ is the sixth studio album by the American trash-metal band Megadeth, released on November 1, 1994 on Capitol Records.

Megadeth is an American heavy metal band founded in 1983 by guitarist / vocalist Dave Mustaine and bassist Dave Ellefson. Mustaine wanted to form a faster and better band than Metallica, from which he was fired after beating Mettalica frontman James Hetfield by knocking out his front teeth.

Since the band' s inception, 13 studio albums have been released. Megadeth are referred to as pioneers of the thrash metal movement along with the rest of the “Big Thrash Four“ - Metallica, Slayer and Anthrax.

The technical highlight and at the same time the band' s most acclaimed album is Rust in Peace from 1990. Mustaine appeared for the first time without drug addiction and the talented guitar virtuoso Marty Friedman, with whom Mustaine formed the famous guitar duo. He stayed in the band until 2001.
