Melody Gardot: My One and Only Thrill

LP Record Melody Gardot's new album is an exceptionally charming continuation of her meteoric career. The production and orchestral arrangements, handled by Grammy award winners Larry Klein and Vince Mendoza, add just the right depth to this young woman's honeyed voice and tragic story. Many of her own songs sound like American songbook classics on first listen. They never lack that essential pinch of jazz or blues, yet remain elegant, light-footed, and sexy. Many journalists are already conjuring up visions of the next Norah Jones. Is this comparison a blessing or a curse? Either way, Melody Gardot is a seductive diva with immense talent.
