Messenger of the future

It's 2013.
War has destroyed the Earth.
The technology does not exist.
An unexpected hero becomes the only hope.

In 2013, there are no highways or roads, no dreams of better tomorrows - only scattered survivors in what was once the United States. The post-catastrophic world is ruled by terror and anarchy in the person of self-proclaimed dictator Bethlehem (Will Patton). Against his will stands a nameless man (Kevin Costner), who makes his living performing Shakespeare's plays and who, after dramatically deserting Bethlehem's army, dons the found uniform of a postman and becomes a symbol of the vanished principles of democracy and freedom, and eventually a folk hero, shrouded in legends.
