Metheny Pat: Road To The Sun (2x LP) - LP

On his album “Road To The Sun”, Pat Metheny once again astounds us with his ability to find new musical paths while maintaining his typical, instantly recognisable sound. The album is divided into two parts. For the first, “Four Paths Of Light”, Pat Metheny chose classical guitarist Jason Vieaux as the performer. For the second composition, “Road To The Sun”, the author selected the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet for the interpretation.

The famous musician recently won his twentieth Grammy, and was also inducted as the youngest member into the DownBeat magazine Hall of Fame. His work is most often associated with terms like progressive jazz or post-bop, but he also explores Latin jazz and jazz fusion. On his recordings, he has collaborated with artists such as saxophonist Chris Potter, drummer Antonio Sanchez, bassist Ben Williams, and multi-instrumentalist Giulio Carmassi.
