Michal Lázňovský: Fata Morgana

It's December 7, 1941, and the Fata Morgana is an old, rusty steamer that may have once been able to cross the Atlantic. In peacetime, no one would have thought of making a similar voyage with him. But now all its passengers, more precisely refugees from various parts of Europe, are eagerly looking forward to New York (although Fata Morgana has not yet left the port of Casablanca)The main characters' goal is to escape, but each of them must increasingly question who they really are. The question of identity is one of the central issues of this tragicomedy. Wouldn't it be best, after all, to forget everything, to deny our past completely? Start over, from scratch? Viktor Preiss and Tatjana Medvecká won the first prize in the Invisible Actor 2017 poll for their roles.
