MILADA - DVD

The film Milada is inspired by the dramatic fate of JUDr. Milada Horáková.

Set between 1937 and 1950, the film chronicles Milada Horáková’s ambitions and doubts, her conflict between duty to her country and her family, and her determination to live according to her convictions. Moral principles were so deeply ingrained in her personality that she often followed her conscience rather than her heart in her decisions, even at the cost of endangering her own family and herself.

The central themes of the film are freedom, the fight for democracy, truth, love, hope, power, and sacrifice, all of which remain highly relevant today.
