Mirga Gražinyte-Tyla: British Project - CD

Mirga Grazinyte-Tyla and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra launched the acclaimed 'The British Project' at Deutsche Grammophon last October with an e-album of Britten's Sinfonia da Requiem. A second digital release followed earlier this year with the Symphonic Suite from Walton's Troilus and Cressida, which the London Times called "exuberant, sumptuous and beautiful" in its five-star review. "The British Project" is now on CD, with the Britten and Walton pieces framed by Elgars Sospiri and Vaughan Williams' Fantasia on a theme by Thomas Tallis. The album, released on 16 July 2021, showcases the extraordinary craftsmanship of the Lithuanian conductor and her City Of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.
