Mišík Vladimír: Královský večer / CD

Hudba, co se před 89' nesměla hrát.
Music that became a symbol of 1989.

The best Mišík' s ballads in a unique package!

There are compilations and compilations, this one is definitely one of the others! On it, Vladimír Mišík chose songs stylistically classifiable as ballads, working with lyrics, or rather poems, whose setting to music is one of his most fundamental contributions to our rock music.

Graphic artist Karel Haloun, Mišík' s most frequent partner in inserting songs into congenial covers, turned the usual box into a real book in DVD format and interior design. The set of lyrics, provided for this occasion also with English translations of the writer Jan Novák, is accompanied by a set of graphics, originally created directly for Mišík' s songs.

Here you will find the music of the poetic legacy of František Gellner, Václav Hrabět, Josef Kainar, but also, for example, Jiří Suchý or Jiří Dědeček. In part, these are Vladimir' s greatest solo hits (Why does the rose wither, They cut the little boy completely, Variations on a Renaissance theme or even Flamenco self and smoke), a significant share then goes to the songs, complementing the set into a thoughtful whole (Balada, title Royal Evening, Romeo is felling, If i were to die Statues, What I took or Sad, lesem, park).

You may know the songs, but the singer' s “copyright“ to their specific selection, new sound remastering and combination with illustrations make it much more. It is a proof of the times people music, it' s listening counting and peeking far from not only for those who have grown up on today' s popular folk singles or important album songs. The nicely told selection in the 52 pages of the booklet also brings interviews by Ondřej Bezr with Vladimír Mišík and Karel Haloun.
