This issue will be decided in the city, which will forever be recorded in history thanks to an agreement that not only led to the disintegration of democratic Czechoslovakia, but also opened the door to Hitler's political ambitions in Europe. As Chamberlain's plane flies over the English Channel and Hitler's train speeds south from Berlin, Hugh Legat, one of Chamberlain's private secretaries, and Paul Hartmann, a German diplomat and member of the anti-Hitler resistance, travel to Munich. The two were once good friends, and now, with the future of Europe in the balance, their paths will cross again.
