Moravec Ivan: Piano Concerto & Kinderszenen - CD

Moravec Ivan: Piano Concerto & Kinderszenen - CD
With two titles we want to pay tribute to this year's seventieth birthday of one of the best Czech pianists of the second half of our century - Ivan Moravec (1930).
His career began in the 1950s and already in this difficult time for Eastern European artists he convinced audiences in Italy, Austria and England of his talent, and in 1962 he performed for the first time in the USA. Since then, he has performed in most of the world's most important concert halls and made dozens of recordings, many of which have won international awards.
Recently, when the Dutch company Philips published the prestigious 100-track anthology Great Pianists of the 20th Century, Moravec was the only Czech pianist to have two recordings included. In order to make the artist's portrait as representative as possible, we have compiled one title from the world repertoire and another exclusively from Czech music.
