Motörhead: No Sleep 'til Hammersmith

LP Record Motörhead's second album, "No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith", was released on 21 June 1981 and reached number one on the UK Albums Chart. It was preceded by the release of the title track "No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith" as a single on 14 June, which reached number four on the UK Singles Chart. The album was recorded at Roundhouse Studios in London in February 1981 and was produced by Vic Maile. The album was both a critical and commercial success, certified platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) for sales of over 300000 copies. It was Motörhead's first album to feature drummer Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor, and the last to feature guitarist "Fast" Eddie Clarke until his return to the band in 1987.
