Alfred Perkins seemingly has it all. Money, a mistress, and above all, a successful business with which he travels around Europe at the end of the nineteenth century. One day, an old acquaintance, Leopold Higgs, visits him and suggests they settle together in Bohemia and establish an amusement park there. Almost one hundred and thirty years later, history doctor Benedikt Knesl arrives at the site of the former amusement park with his intern, Klára, to assist the police with an unusual case.
