Mumford & Sons: Sigh No More – LP

A huge discovery on the folk-rock scene, London-based Mumford & Sons release a vinyl version of their debut album following its massive success, which has sold over one million copies.

Mumford & Sons are an English folk-rock band consisting of Marcus Mumford (vocals, guitar, drums, mandolin), Ben Lovett (vocals, keyboards, accordion, drums), Winston Marshall (vocals, banjo, dobro) and Ted Dwane (vocals, bass, drums, guitar). Formed in October 2007, the group emerged from the West London folk scene, which also featured artists such as Laura Marling, Johnny Flynn and Noah and the Whale. After recording the Love Your Ground EP, Mumford & Sons toured the UK to bring their music to audiences and build support for their first full-length album. Released in October 2009, Sigh No More peaked at number two in both the UK and US charts.

The band grew significantly in popularity throughout 2010, playing larger venues and making appearances on US television. On 1 December 2010, they received two Grammy nominations for Best New Artist and Best Rock Song ("Little Lion Man"). The band also won the 2010 Australian ARIA Music Award for Most Popular International Artist and the 2011 BRIT Award for Best British Album.

In September 2013, the band announced an indefinite hiatus. According to the members, they plan to write new songs in 2014, with a comeback tour scheduled for 2015.
