Murder in the crypt

When the corpse of a young man is discovered one day in the tomb of a medieval knight, Daniel Haze, a village constable who has never investigated a murder before, takes up the case. Suspicion immediately falls on a single stranger, who arrived in Birch Hill village just before, before the crime was committed, but over time, this man, American captain, will prove to be an unexpected boon. Jason Redmond, a former soldier and experienced surgeon, not only willingly helps Daniel Haz, but also puts his own life on the line to catch the killer.
Redmond and Haz don't know the motive, have no suspects or enough clues, but they must solve the murder before one of them becomes the killer's next victim.
A historical mystery thriller set in the second half of the nineteenth century that brilliantly portrays greed, crime, arrogance, hatred and fear of "the other" in the colonial era.
The first book in the Redmond and Haze Mysteries series is also the first title by the successful author to be translated into Czech.
