Muzikantská Liduška - DVD

A dramatic story based on a short story by Vítězslav Hálek about a girl whose parents prevent her from falling in love. Stanek, a rich farmer, moves to a small village with his family.

His daughter Liduška falls in love with the violinist Toník. Lidu's parents, however, want her to marry the son of a local homesteader, Krejz. Without her consent, he sets a date for the wedding, but Liduška decides to elope with Toník. But Tony is called up for the army and the desperate girl agrees to marry Krejza.

Toník appears at the wedding, plays his sweetheart one last time and then runs away from the village. Liduška declares that she was forced to marry him and sets out to find him. But Tony is unknown, the girl's mind goes blank and her parents realise how much they have hurt their daughter.
