Saki Kawashiro
Saki Kawashiro was born in Tokyo in 1992. After studying at Waseda University, she worked for several companies in the book industry before becoming a writer. While working as a manager of a book café, she came up with a recipe for "The Chicken Curry My Ex-Boyfriend Loved" for the café and wrote a short story to go with it on a promotional sign. This generated a huge response on social media, and the author was even invited onto an Asahi TV show, which gave her the idea to write an entire novel in this format. She debuted in 2022 with the self-help guide I Can't Seem to Find My Place in Life (Watashi no ibasho wa mitsukaranai).
