Elizabeth's good friends have recently got married, and so she herself is looking for a husband. She is particularly taken with Geoffrey, Earl of Harrington. He is tall, handsome and elegant. But also overconfident. Isn't he only interested in Elizabeth to avoid losing his prestigious diplomatic position in Brussels? But Elizabeth only wants a marriage of true love, so she'll have to try it out first...

Lord Harrington is not interested in love. He has to get married for work and the beautiful and well-connected Elizabeth suits him perfectly. But is it possible that he underestimated his bride? She's strong, intelligent and growing more attractive to him every day - but she's also growing colder towards him.
