My Year 1982

Come with us on a journey back to the time when Karel Gott was dethroned as the king of pop and the Zlatý slavík award was won by a bespectacled boy from Bratislava, Miro Žbirka. Fashion was newly dictated by Princess Diana, the first CD player was sold in the West with a disc by the group ABBA, a certain Ivan Lendl was considered unbeatable, and people told jokes about communists and dreamt that socialism would one day end.
