Mysteries of the Šumava Forest

The Bohemian Forest legends presented to you in this book are a key to understanding the lives of our ancestors. These tales can be passed down through many generations, carrying with them a certain antiquity. The legends reflect the historical development of the local settlement, the intertwining of ancient mythology with the Christian religion, superstition in everyday life, and a certain ethical lesson on how people should behave towards one another. They are divided into ten sections, which are accompanied by short explanations and magnificent illustrations.
