Natural building materials

A book for architects, designers, material engineering professionals, university students, and builders of buildings. It summarises the knowledge and experience to date. It facilitates orientation in the given issue. It presents natural building materials in a comprehensive form, offering an overview of their use in both new and reconstructed buildings.
The book provides a complete overview of natural renewable building materials of plant and animal origin such as straw, Reed, cannabis, sheep's wool, cellulose, products derived from wood, cork and others. It also gives information on the use of clay. The focus is on their physical and utility properties. At the same time, it provides a discussion of technologies, products and constructions related to or derived from natural raw materials.
Examples of specific Czech and foreign buildings will be used to present the methods, forms and pitfalls that arise in the application of renewable natural materials.
