Neckář Václav: Život - Zlatá kolekce (3x CD) - CD

In traditionally close collaboration with the singer and his brother Jan, a collection of almost sixty songs has been compiled, illustrating the long and successful career of Václav Neckář.
Alongside the absolutely essential songs, the albums have been divided into mostly pop, mostly rock, and mostly ballad collections, also including less frequent or alternative recordings, spanning the years from 1965 to 2005.

The stylistically segmented repertoire allows for a more or less chronological highlighting of the many facets of Václav Neckář's singing. His place among pop legends is undeniable, thanks to songs like 'Tu kytaru jsem koupil kvůli tobě', 'Bim bam', 'Lékořice', 'Stín katedrál', 'Dobrá zpráva', 'Massachusetts', 'Dr. Dam di dam', 'Já ti zabrnkám', and 'Chci tě líbat'.
However, his rock persona, especially with the band Bacily, must not be overlooked. This collaboration resulted in an excellent band and significant studio and stage projects. Here you'll find, for example, the big-beat 'Ša-la-la-la-li', the dynamic 'Křižovatky', the driving 'Rok rok střídá', and the highly effective 'Potulný hráč', 'Hvězdné nebe nad Atlantidou', and 'Lásko ztracená', which also work well outside their original album context.

A very special part of the compilation is dedicated to ballads, which allow Neckář to showcase his dramatic experience in mastering emotionally demanding songs such as 'Nautilus', 'Suzanne', 'Kdo vchází do tvých snů (má lásko)', 'Tomu, kdo nás má rád', 'Můj Taxis', and the title track 'Život'.
