Never Sol: Chamaleo - CD

The captivating melancholy and fragile warmth of the enchanting Never Sol.

Five years after the release of her warmly received debut, Under Quiet, the exceptionally talented producer and singer Sára Vondrášková, AKA Never Sol, is back with her second studio album. The new release is titled Chamaleo, evoking the colour and diversity not only of the record itself, but also of its exceptionally well-designed artwork.

Over the last few years, Sára has embarked on a journey to find a distinctive sound, which she describes as "melancholic slow synth darkpop". At the same time, she was also finding answers to her own questions about what her music is and how it should sound. She searched for instruments through which she could express herself as faithfully as possible, learning production and how to work with synthesisers.

As the opening single, Zoe, already suggests, the second full-length record is based primarily on the sound of hardware, mostly analogue synthesisers, samples, and vocals, all reflected in melancholic harmonies. It is no coincidence that this time, Never Sol handled the entire production herself. The final mix and master were then handled by Matouš Godík.
