Next water

The Next Water is a poetic novella about loss, family silence, and the fact that life always finds a new way. After her husband's death, Marta is left alone in a house with colourful stained-glass windows on the edge of the village. Her days pass in the quiet rhythm of the garden, chickens, yoga, and small household rituals. The apparent calm is gradually disturbed by the residents of the neighbouring house – little Vašík, his father Tomáš, and the restless Gabriela. These subtle encounters slowly begin to open up questions Marta has long kept at bay. Above all, her relationship with her two adult daughters, between whom more silence has settled over the years than she could ever admit.
