NHL 22: X-Factor Edition - Xbox Digital
Frostbite engine added to NHL 22
The legendary Frostbite engine is coming to EA Sports NHL 22 for the first time ever. NHL 22 offers huge visual improvements for both current and next-generation console games, representing one of the biggest steps forward in graphics for the franchise. Whether it's redesigned player likenesses or fabric animations that bring characters to life, or dynamic lighting that creates a truly immersive game environment, you'll see improvements everywhere.
Improved hockey stick physics
New realistic hockey stick interactions in NHL 22 Xbox enhance the physicality of the game and deliver more believable puck battles that are fair and skill-based. A better system of contact between the stick and the opponent's body results in a more accurate assessment of illegal interventions, for example when the puck is poked out. You'll also experience more realistic movement along the fence without the stick going through textures.
Enjoy new animations and X-Factor of famous players
Experience the power of Superstar X-Factors, a groundbreaking gameplay system that lets you take full advantage of the exceptional abilities of star players - their presence on the ice is now more impactful than ever. Reserved only for the league's elite players, Superstar X-Factor abilities separate the best from the rest in NHL 22 and make superstars look as real as their live counterparts.
Make the most of the NHL's 22 hockey players' abilities
Players are assigned one ability for the zone that dominates their game, which allows them to outperform their opponents. Zone capabilities are always on and are automatically activated under the appropriate conditions. For example, the zone ability that improves the long pass is activated when attempting a long pass (but has no effect on a short pass). Specific zone abilities are only available to a limited number of players and in some cases are even exclusive. This means that certain players have unique abilities in the game.
NHL 22: X-Factor Edition includes:
- NHL 22 for Xbox
- Dual Eligibility for Xbox One gaming
