Non-pharmacological treatment in geriatrics

The monograph focuses on non-pharmacological treatment in the elderly and is a continuation of the already published monograph Pharmacotherapy in Geriatrics.

In this publication, the authors briefly characterize non-pharmacological therapies and their use in the complex treatment of the elderly. They indicate which diseases and geriatric syndromes are most often indicated for non-pharmacological treatment and which methods of this therapy are used in the care of the elderly in institutional health and social care facilities, but also in the home environment.

The authors' team consisting of prominent experts from the field of health care, physiotherapy, social work, public health and therapeutic pedagogy has elaborated individual methods and particularly emphasizes the specifics of their application in the elderly.
