Nursing

The publication presents personalities in the field of nursing who, from a historical context, contributed to the implementation of changes in nursing practice in Slovakia. An important aspect of the selection of personalities included in the publication was their professional profile, from undergraduate education to the acquisition of an academic degree in the field.

The societal changes that the Slovak Republic has undergone since 1989 have led to a change in the perspective on nursing, mainly with an emphasis on nursing as a scientific discipline, with room for autonomous performance of nursing practice.
