Nursing procedures for paramedics I

The first part of this publication is intended primarily for first-year students of the field of paramedic. Its main purpose was to unify topics and procedures specific to this field.

Following the amendment of Act no. 96/2004, a paramedic may carry out activities without professional supervision after one year of exercising the profession in the provision of acute inpatient care. Nursing procedures are specified and approximated to the working conditions of intensive care units. The authors place emphasis on safe, effective and quality nursing care with a focus on maintaining lege artis procedures, communication and above all humanity.

The book is supplemented with many photographs from the authors' extensive experience. The selection of topics was based on the currently valid competences of paramedics. The content also includes photographic techniques that are well perceived by students in practice.

This publication is continuously followed by a second volume, focusing on intensive care and specialised procedures.
