Oasis: Knebworth 1996

LP Record Oasis's two record-breaking nights at Knebworth took place on 10th and 11th August 1996, with over a quarter of a million young music fans from all over the world converging on Knebworth Park in Hertfordshire to watch the legendary concerts. The monumental shows were set against a backdrop of the UK slowly recovering from a decade-long recession. After 1980, the mood of the nation had changed. A cultural renaissance in arts and culture gave rise to 'Cool Britannia', and Oasis, with their meteoric rise, embodied this newfound optimism and swagger.
