The unveiling of Mary Magdalene

Meggan Watterson presents a portrait of the real Mary Magdalene – the one who lives in each of us.
The international bestseller Mary Magdalene Revealed uncovers and interprets the rediscovered Gospel of Mary, bringing us a love story so different from the one that the Christian church has passed down for two thousand years.

Although the Czech Republic is now a largely atheist country, Christianity has significantly influenced our culture and the way Czech people think. Jesus and Mary Magdalene are part of our history. They are part of each of us. That is why this book and this topic are so important to us, now more than ever. Today, as more and more people awaken and become aware of truths that have been suppressed, persecuted, and punished for hundreds or even thousands of years. Among other things, that we all have God within us, and that we don't need to look for the divine anywhere outside of ourselves, that we don't need anyone or anything else to speak to God. We are not separate from God.

Meggan Watterson, a Harvard Divinity School graduate, guides us verse by verse through the Gospel of Mary, using her personal story to illuminate the powerful teachings it contains. Mary's Gospel reveals the love that is in each of us.
The Gospel of Mary, as old and authentic as all the gospels contained in the Bible, was buried deep in the Egyptian desert for two thousand years because the Christian church did not want people to know the truth it contained. They did not want Mary to be seen as an equal to the other apostles, or even to Jesus himself.

Watterson explains with searing clarity how and why Mary Magdalene was portrayed as the prostitute Mary, and provides a more historically and theologically accurate depiction of who Mary was in the early Christ movement. She tells how this discovery of Mary's Gospel enabled her to practice and experience a love that never ends, a love that transforms everything. A love that is stronger than death.
