Office - charts and diagrams

The book will introduce you to the benefits of graphical data representation and teach you how to create graphs in Microsoft Office applications. In the first chapter you will find a description and explanation of each part of the chart. In chapter two, the actual creation of graphs in Microsoft Excel is discussed in general. The third chapter describes the solution of practical situations with graphical representation of actual data. You can find not only instructions for processing the measured data or sales representation, but also for creating a timetable. You will also learn about the creation of the famous TV cakes, the surface graph, the histogram or the pictogram (graph with pictures). Because the plotted data is also important in the preparation of texts (projects, plans, final reports, reports… ) or in the subsequent presentation of a company, products or organization of a given activity, the following two chapters are devoted to copying and pasting graphs, not only into text written in Microsoft Word, but also into a presentation created in Microsoft PowerPoint. The sixth chapter is then devoted to working with diagrams, which, unlike graphs, are not created from specific data, but are used to illustrate the structure, dependence of events or the idea of certain procedures or organization of work. So you will learn not only how to create an organization chart (which is often used), but also how to create cyclic, ray or needle charts. The book is accompanied by an appendix with an overview of predefined charts in Excel and a sample file with examples that can be downloaded from www.grada.cz. A great advantage of the manual is also the twelve-page colour appendix with the most attractive pictures.
