Selections from the book Essays by Francis Bacon
A selection from Essays by Francis Bacon, one of the leading exponents of cultural events at the royal court during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I. and her successor, James I. He extensively follows and complements ancient and other philosophers, discussing human existence and life in a way that concerns everyone. In the Essays, Bacon advises how to approach individual situations in life, always weighing the positives and negatives, trying to approach problems pragmatically. The studio recording was made in the Lucerna studio based on the Lyra Pragensis performance of the same name, which premiered in 1992 at the Lobkowicz Palace at Prague Castle.
