Open Source software

The aim of the publication is to introduce readers to the characteristics of open-source software and open formats. The main focus will be on strengthening the security of information systems through the use of open source software, economic savings in the use of this type of software and answering the most common legal questions regarding the distribution and use of open source software. Open source software and open formats are, in the author's opinion, ideal for use in public administration and the private sector, especially for reasons of enhanced IT/IS security (unrestricted access to source code) and economic savings.
