Orlinski Jakub Józef: Anima Aeterna - LP

Three years ago, when Polish countertenor Jakub Józef Orliński released his debut album Anima Sacra on Warner Classics, his obvious dramaturgical courage could not be denied. It was not a collection of proven baroque "evergreens" by Bach, Handel or Vivaldi, as one might expect from a debutant, but a truly unique musical project, including little-known or almost unknown composers and their neglected works. His new album Anima Aeterna, which is largely a follow-up to the original recording, continues in the direction he has set out, and we find it particularly gratifying that there is also a large space devoted to our baroque genius Jan Dismas Zelenka. This time Orlinski has invited the talented Egyptian soprano Fatma Said and the proven baroque ensemble Il Pomo d'Oro with conductor Francesco Corti.
