Bolestiny – An Anthology of Women's Horror
Thirteen stories. Thirteen voices, whispering from the darkness. Four authors associated with the Golden Dog publishing house – Veronika Fiedlerová, Ludmila Svozilová, Tereza Kadečková and Karin Novotná – delve into the depths of pain, shadows and confessions. Each of them opens the door three times to places you only go after dark.
Editor Madla Pospíšilová Karasová closes the anthology with the short story The Old House, from which the past has never moved out. Poems by Jana Dvořáčková and illustrations by Kiri Karma make this anthology a small work of art.
Bolestiny is not just an anthology of horror stories. It is a mirror reflecting the female experience along with darkness. Raw, uncompromising, mysterious.
Open the book. But don't turn out the lights.
