Parkway Drive: Darker Still Ltd Clr

LP Record In the kitchen of Winston McCall's home in Byron Bay, there's a fridge decorated on one side with a Tom Waits quote: "I want beautiful melodies telling me terrible things." As the Parkway Drive frontman says, it's a pretty good summary of who he is. It's also true of Darker Still, the seventh studio album to emerge from this picturesque and peaceful corner of north-eastern New South Wales, and the most significant musical statement yet from one of modern metal's most respected bands. "Darker Still", says McCall, is the vision he and his bandmates have had in their heads since 2003, when a group of friends first got together in their parents' cellars and backyards.
