Part: Sacred Heart (1985) - CD

“Sacred Heart“ is the third studio album by the American heavy metal band Dio, released on August 15, 1985 by Warner Bros. Records. On October 15, 1985, the album was awarded a gold record.

Dio was a heavy metal band founded by singer Ronnie James Dio. After his death in 2010, the group ceased operations.

He formed the group in October 1982, after leaving Black Sabbath. In an interview on the special release of Holy Diver, he states that he never intended to start a solo career. His intention was to start a new band with former Black Sabbath drummer Vinny Appic. Naming the group after Dia made sense, especially for commercial reasons, because at that time Dio was already very well known.
