Past near Puente

My name is Bill Waco. Back then, I wore the star of a Texas Marshal. A few particularly dangerous contemporaries had put my partner, Joe Madison, and me on their hit list. Joe and I certainly had only chance to thank for our lives that evening when one of the fellows who wanted to snuff out our candles drew his Colt in a dark alley, and we heard that metallic click. We were both trained and experienced enough to react instantly. By the time the flames from the muzzles of the revolvers flashed at us from three sides, we were already pressed to the ground.
