People from the suburbs

A deftly mixed cocktail of slapstick and suspenseful detective fiction, with no shortage of affectionate humour.
Ray Peterson's (Tom Hanks) plans for a peaceful holiday in his suburban home are disrupted by the arrival of new neighbours of rather strange manners and customs.
Together with their neighbours, they observe with amazement the strange happenings in the residence of the new immigrants. When the typical growling and humming suddenly stops coming from the Klopka house, the neighbours begin to fear the worst and decide to find out what happened. Armed to the teeth with rifles, state-of-the-art binoculars and a shovel, they want to uncover the secrets of the Klopkas with their own eyes. However, the typical ordinary suburb is not at all what it seems at first sight.
