Peterson Oscar Trio: We Get Requests - LP

For this album, producer Jim Davis emphasized recreating the live sound of Peterson and his trio; Peterson, bassist Ray Brown and drummer Ed Thigpen had been together for five years and played like a well-oiled machine.

Listeners encounter pop songs of the day, bossa nova tunes, and movie themes, with the emphasis placed squarely on the melodies.
