Petr Brukner

Isn't he the one who can't ride a bike in the Snowdrop Festival, but can pass the boar at school? And isn't he also Jáchym, who throws František Koudelka's data into the machine? You know Petr Brukner (1943) not only from the films of the Smoljak and Svěrák duo, but also from the Jára Cimrman Theatre, where he has been playing successfully as a non-actor for decades. First of all, he is a native of Písek, who fills his life with various interests, next to the sports ones, like tennis, cycling or golf, These include listening to jazz music, pipe smoking, taking photographs or creating "photo shoots". And perhaps it is also worth mentioning that he has also been married for decades and has never been divorced in the slightest. This beautiful outcome is certainly not tempered by the fact that only a suicidal man would divorce the lawyer his wife is...

The book interview with the versatile artist is conducted by journalist and radio presenter Vladimír Kroc, author of the successful radio series Sound Chronicle of the Jára Cimrman Theatre.

From the 1970s onwards, Petr Brukner appeared in film, first in films by the Smoljak-Svěrák duo, and later in others. Zdeněk Svěrák also used his peculiar acting in several television sketches. Petr Brukner's lifelong passion is photography, which he has been doing since childhood, among others. owns an extensive archive of pictures from behind the scenes of the Jára Cimrman Theatre and a collection of old cameras. It also creates the so-called. "phorazes", witty collages created from the paintings of the old masters.
