Planet of the Apes (1968) - DVD

Somewhere in the universe, there must be something that is better than man. When Charlton Heston and two other astronauts wake up from deep hibernation, they discover that their spaceship has been destroyed. On the run, they discover that they have landed on a planet where intelligent monkeys live. Heston is captured and imprisoned in the city - the rest of the crew and later several monkeys are of course trying to help him escape from prison. In the end, they succeed and everyone is free, but in the very end, everyone finds out a terrible thing.
