The parody comedy Buckle Up, Please!, which the American Film Institute ranked among the ten best comedies of all time, is one of the masterpieces of this genre.

On a plane bound for from Los Angeles to Chicago, most passengers and crew are unexpectedly affected by severe stomach upset. All indications are that the impending catastrophe of the aircraft can no longer avert anything at all. Ironically, former naval pilot Ted Striker takes control of the plane at the last moment. He can control the steering, but he himself is somewhat “unreliable“, because he suffered from mental disorders for several years. And so, in fact, it is not very strange that in this extreme situation he acts in a completely unpredictable way.
Crazy bits of everyone involved, in the plane and on the ground, they successfully caricature films about air disasters in quick succession, bigotry, TV commercials romantic love.
The plot rushes forward from one grotesque situation to another!
