Plečnik

Who was the architect who built the pyramids in Ljubljana or the Minoan bulls in Prague? And he admired the columns so vehemently that he built them when they held nothing? In the comic, Jože Plečnik talks about himself, recalls his great works and the people and places he had the opportunity to meet on his long life journey between Ljubljana, Vienna and Prague.

In the comic, Plečnik himself tells the story of his life. His narrative is shaped as a view of who he was and when he created, sometimes reflecting on possible alternatives to his decisions. The story includes his contemporaries, mainly according to the criterion of the influence they had on him and his work.

Similarly to Plečnik's works, where a logical selection was made due to their scale, it was necessary to do the same when including his students and collaborators, who added their knowledge and authorial stamp to his projects.
