The Fairy Tale Book: or Actors read their favourite fairy tales

The storybook is full of magical stories and star actors! The fairy tree is a tree that is planted every year during Andersen Night. According to this event, organized by the National Library of the Czech Republic every April 1, our whole new set got its name. It all started from the idea of approaching young, excellent actors and asking them to read their beloved fairy tales, which they either remember from their childhood or now read with pleasure to their own children. Anya Geislerová reads Josef Čapek's The Tale of the Dog and the Cat, a chapter from Astrid Lindgren's Pippi Longstocking or Andersen's The Little Match Girl, Barbora Poláková read the introductory chapters from Peter Pan, Václav Jílek's fairy tale About Princess Jasněnka and the Shoemaker, who flew from Jan Drda, Jakub Prachař retrieved a fairy tale from Werich's The Fimfar, Jiří Suchý from Tábor's Carnation Bugs and Patrik Děrgel's story called How Wasp Marcelka Liked It, it is. In a remarkable selection of fairy tales, there are now both kind and sad, ironic and friendly, harsh and gentle. They all influenced our protagonists in their childhood in such a way that they are now joyfully passing them on to the next generation as essential treasures.
