The story of the action thriller Vantage Point is told through the eyes of eight different people, all trying to uncover the truth behind an assassination attempt on the President of the United States. Thomas Barnes (Dennis Quaid) and Kent Taylor (Matthew Fox) are Secret Service agents assigned to protect President Ashton at a crucial summit on the global war on terror. When he is shot shortly after arriving in Spain, chaos ensues, and the lives of various people intersect during the hunt for the assassin. Among the onlookers is Howard Lewis (Forest Whitaker), an American tourist who believes he has captured the shooter on his video camera while recording the event for his children.
