Continued diplomacy
A dispute over a planet that could start a war
Centuries ago, humans colonised a distant sector of the galaxy named Hirano, creating interstellar states and establishing contact with other alien species.
But people will always be people, so when the Aston Union and the Ballington Commonwealth independently discover a system rich in rare resources, neither side is willing to give it up. Old grievances and animosities resurface, and what began as a diplomatic dispute escalates into mutual intimidation with warships. The whole situation is slowly spiralling out of control…
The book also includes the novella “Too Close an Encounter” and the bonus short story “A Commander's Decision”.
