Pospíšil Luboš: Poesis Beat - CD

A record by an exceptional singer and his musical and literary friends. A chance for all with a weakness for unmistakably Czech music and unmistakably Czech words in the lyrics to take a pleasant balance. Actually, it was supposed to come out on Luboš's seventieth birthday last year, but the coronavirus arranged it differently. Paradoxically, a little beneficial: refining the melodies and finding co-writers for the songs took the necessary time. All the music was written by Luboš Pospíšil himself this time, the line-up of his traditional lyricists J. P. Labus, P. Kadlec and from the estate of P. Šruta was expanded by the writer J. The hook. Arranged collectively at a distance, or shot mainly separately, completed and put together in Kutná Hora, the final master was made in Zlín. The basic instrumental group consists of the multi-coloured guitarist (plus sound, mixing and co-production) Libor Mikeš Mikoška, the multi-stringed bassist (plus mastering) Petr Vavřík and the multi-rhythmic drummer (plus keyboards) Martin Vajgl. Their past and present engagements in Narvan, Buta or Olympik are a guarantee of experienced first-class quality. People with whom Pospíšil is fully in harmony in this project, without the band 5P to continue to be his concert support. Here you will find songs reminiscent of the most significant from Luboš's past: treading almost pop and ballad with retro synth, multi-vocal play with light C and K vocals and credible home blues, but also well-lived echoes of Santana Latin or southern rock. Together, original songwriting for a unique voice. Luboš Pospíšil is in full form and intends to promote the album in the best possible way, namely by playing a lot. It's nice when important musicians have been making their dreams come true for decades by pleasing their loyal listeners with brand new songs. It was slightly nostalgic, strongly melodic and sonically clear.
